Hydronic Heating

Boiler Service for Hot Water & Steam Heating in Boyertown, PA

Boilers have been heating homes across Boyertown, Pottstown and Phoenixville for generations, and plenty of the systems we work on have been in place longer than the families living with them. Hydronic heat is quiet and even, but it needs a contractor who actually knows circulators, expansion tanks and zone valves.

Arctic Fire Heating & Cooling repairs, maintains and replaces boiler systems throughout Berks and Montgomery County. We install New Yorker boilers and hold PA License #PA148150.

Boiler Repair & Service

Cold radiators, a boiler that will not fire, banging pipes, pressure that keeps dropping or a leak around the unit. We trace the cause through the whole loop rather than treating the symptom at one radiator.

Which Boiler Service Do You Need?

  • priority_high Some rooms are warm and others are not. That points to circulation rather than the boiler itself, and boiler repair starts by finding out whether it is air in the lines, a zone valve, or a circulator that has stopped.
  • water_drop You are adding water to the system regularly. A boiler that keeps losing pressure is losing it somewhere. Book a diagnostic before it finds its way into a floor or ceiling.
  • history The boiler is decades old and inefficient. Talk to us about boiler installation. Replacing an old unit is as much about the piping and controls around it as the boiler you choose.
  • event_available Heating season is coming and it has not been serviced. Schedule boiler maintenance, or put it on our maintenance plan so it happens on schedule each year.

Why Arctic Fire

Working on Older Pennsylvania Heating Systems

engineering

Hydronic Experience

Boilers are not furnaces with water in them. Over 15 years in the field means we are comfortable with steam and hot water systems, zoning, and the piping quirks of houses built long before either of us.

health_and_safety

Safety Controls Verified

Pressure relief valves, low water cutoffs and limit controls get checked on every visit. On a pressurized system those devices are what stand between a fault and a failure.

Let's Get Started

Let's Get Started

Hydronic heating rewards a contractor who takes the time to understand the whole system. Arctic Fire Heating & Cooling brings over 15 years of field experience to boiler work across Boyertown, Pottstown, Phoenixville, Collegeville and the surrounding communities, under PA License #PA148150.

We handle repairs on the boiler you have, annual maintenance to keep it running, and full replacement when the time comes.

If you are not certain whether you have a boiler or a furnace, the simplest test is how the heat reaches your rooms. Radiators, baseboard or warm floors mean a boiler. Vents blowing warm air mean a furnace.

Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked Questions About Boiler Service

A boiler heats water and moves it through radiators, baseboard or radiant floor loops. A furnace heats air and blows it through ductwork to vents. If your rooms have radiators or baseboard and no supply vents, you have a boiler, and the service, parts and diagnostics are different from forced-air work.

Once a year, before heating season. Annual service covers combustion, system pressure, the expansion tank, circulators and the safety controls. Because a boiler runs as a sealed pressurized loop, small issues like trapped air or a failing relief valve are far easier to correct at a scheduled visit than during a January breakdown.

Noise in a hydronic system usually comes from air trapped in the piping, sediment inside the heat exchanger, or in a steam system water that cannot drain back properly. None of those are things to live with, because each one puts stress on components and points to a condition that will keep getting worse.

In most cases yes. The radiators and distribution piping in a well maintained system often outlast several boilers. We inspect the existing distribution before quoting a replacement so you know up front whether anything beyond the boiler itself needs attention.
